Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Faculty Group Practice Practice Operations Manager.

In this role, the successful candidate Under the direction of the Center Assistant Director, this position is responsible for oversight and management of front end operational activities and adherence to policies and procedures for the Faculty Group Practice. This key role will collaborate with practice managers to implement, optimize and monitor operational performance of front end activities, policies including the ambulatory call center for customer service and appointment scheduling, front end practice redesign to create a new/unified/consistent standard for all faculty group practices and other initiatives. This position will work closely with colleagues in the Faculty Group Practice to implement system wide initiatives.

Job Responsibilities:

    • Other projects as necessary
    • Conduct systematic operational reviews of practice operations to identify areas for improvement with recommendations and report to Administration
    • Develop detailed action plans for process improvement
    • Serve as an on-site resource to improve practice operations-assure meaningful use reporting, wait lists and EPC work queues are maintained.
    • Work with the Administrator to onboard new faculty as needed.
    • Implement and optimize template management with supervisor/coordinator per Department policies i.e. use of urgent care slots, appointment type durations
    • Work with Coordinator/Supervisor to ensure appropriate staffing levels, coordination of resources and effective assignment of duties. Develop staffing standards, ongoing trainings and productivity metrics.
    • Serve as liaison with on-site supervisors /coordinators.
    • Oversee the coordination, integration, communication, implementation and performance evaluation of practice operations and policies and procedures. Identify areas for improvement and develop detailed action plans as necessary. Optimize patient flow and patient access.
    • Develop key indicators and benchmarks for practices, including productivity and quality. Improve performance to expected benchmarks, and review and disseminate information to practices on a regular basis. Assist in key FGP initiatives such as meaningful use, AVS and Patient Secure usage.
    • Oversee and manage any required training programs on policies and procedures to maintain standardization amongst the FGP. Works closely with Administration, on site Coordinators and Supervisors, Epic Operations, to identify opportunities to improve front end processes.
    • Meet regularly with the Asst. Director to discuss financial outcomes relative to front end process i.e. co-pay collection, insurance verification, authorization and referral

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Five to seven years minimum experience in healthcare operations with emphasis on physician practice operations. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to prioritize effectively and handle shifting priorities professionally. Strong workflow analysis and business process integration skills. Lean six sigma experience preferred. Ability to think systematically and understand the implications of policies and practices. Ability to anticipate problems and take decisive action. Strong interpersonal skills. Lead others for implementation of projects and organizational workflow redesign. Bachelors degree required.

Preferred Qualifications:

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $76,721.84 - $104,977.60 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
