Founded in 1968 to meet the post-secondary and continuing education needs of Cecil County residents, Cecil College has been serving the community and shaping its future for more than 50 years. The College is governed by a Board of Trustees appointed by the governor. The College’s fifth president, Dr. Mary Way Bolt, reports directly to the Board of Trustees.
Cecil College is centrally located in Maryland’s most northeastern county, just one half mile from Interstate 95. It is easily accessible from Philadelphia and Baltimore, as well as from Wilmington, Delaware.
With a diverse student population, Cecil College enrolls approximately 2,500 credit students and 3,400 non-credit students. Cecil offers associate degrees, certificate programs and non-credit classes. Cecil offers a variety of associate degree and certificate programs.

General Description:
This position is responsible for teaching in the accelerated associate degree in nursing program. The faculty member's responsibilities include planning, organizing, teaching, and, providing feedback to promote and direct student learning in accordance with Cecil College's department of nursing learning-centered values that meet the essential competencies.
Specific duties generally include but are not limited to:
- Develop appropriate learning activities that reflect the program and/or course philosophy, objectives, and curriculum.
- Uses various learning assessments to evaluate student mastery of the course and program outcomes
- Evaluating student performance both formative and summative.
- Competent use of technology to enhance the learning environment.
- Active participation in level meetings.
- Active participation in faculty meetings and college committee meetings.
- Active participation in the accreditation process as necessary.
- Maintains professional development/growth according to personal needs and requirements for licensure.
- Other duties/responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Licensure - Current unencumbered licensure as a Registered Nurse in Maryland or Multistate
- Education- Minimum of Master's Degree in Nursing
- Prior teaching experience in a college/university setting
- Current knowledge and skill in the use of information and computer technology
- Able to work with students with special needs based on the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
- Able to work independently and coordinate work with colleagues and peers.
