Job Purpose
The Health, Safety and Environmental Facility Coordinator is responsible to and shall be held
accountable for the performance of all assigned duties by the Group HS&E Manager. This job
description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by this
employee. He / she is required to follow any other instructions and to perform any other directly
related appropriate duties directed by the facility Operations Manager. This position requires on site
presence to conduct essential job duties.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Ensure new personnel receives documented HS&E training in accordance Company standards. This HS&E training is to be completed before the new employee works on the production floor.
Assist department Managers/Supervisors to create JSAs "Job Safety Analysis" and Risk Assessments for each Job task and perform and/or assist in documented training for all personnel.
Perform and/or assist required HS&E documented training for all personnel in accordance with Hunting, OSHA, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 requirements.
Assist Managers/Supervisors with initial investigation of accidents and incidents in the workplace and communicate information to the Group HS&E Manager. These investigation reports shall be uploaded into the HS&E Management System upon completion.
Perform monthly facility HS&E Audit: The scope of this audit shall include a general audit of all HS&E issues, including, but not limited to, PPE, fire protection, housekeeping, and environmental issues and provide timely report on required document. The audit shall be submitted to the Operations Manager for review and approval. Once approved by the Operations Manager, the audit shall be submitted to the BU’s HS&E Manager or Group HS&E Manager for review and the distribution of Corrective Actions and/or Preventive Actions that may have been notated during the audit.
Perform visual weekly facility assessment of non-hazardous / hazardous waste, including accurate and timely completion of documentation. Issues shall be reported immediately to the Operations Manager and Group HS&E Manager.
Assist the Operations Manager to ensure compliance with SWPPP "Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan".
Maintain SDS database/SDS Books for the facility.
Ensure equipment, tooling and the shop areas are in safe working condition.
Assist Operations Manager to ensure compliance in accordance with Hunting HS&E Procedures for the facility.
Shall conduct monthly safety meetings on topics established and approved by the Group HS&E Manager. Shall conduct on job related HS&E training on an as needed basis.
Assist Operations Manager on establishing and evaluating the annual Objectives and Targets. This shall also include the facility’s HS&E aspects and impacts.
Provide a quarterly report to the Group HS&E Manager for HS&E items completed at the facility. Complete the monthly HS&E incident reports via Onbase for reporting.
Contractors’ must receive the required training from the facility’s HS&E orientation and have the "Non-Hunting Personnel Agreement" completed before working on any Hunting location. Other training documents may be used by the facility if needed.
The Group HS&E Manager may delegate all duties to any qualified assistant; however, delegation does not relieve the Group HS&E Manager of the final responsibility.
Required Skills/Experience
Education and Training
- Minimum high school diploma required.
- 2+ years’ in HSE related roles.
General Requirements
Minimum 2 years relevant industry experience.
Diligent and firm with high ethical standards.
Full understanding of the site specific HSE risks.
Technical Requirements / Skills
Basic knowledge of OSHA, 29 CFR 1910 and other applicable standards.
Knowledgeable of production work instructions
OSHA 511 (10 hour) certified or ability to obtain certification within 90 days
Current basic First aid Certification or Equivalent (or ability to become certified within 6 mos. of employment)
Excellent communication skills
Strong organizational skills
Good basic computer skill
Certificates, Licenses & Registrations
- Must have a valid driver’s license and record that conforms to company’s insurance policies, ATF, DOT, and State or other required Hazmat training.
Work Authorization / Security Clearance
Able to meet ATF & regulatory security requirements.
Must be US citizen, or lawful permanent resident of the United States (student Visa does not qualify), in accordance with ATF regulations.
