General Purpose and Scope of Position:
We are looking for a motivated, customer and employee-focused, and analytical leader to join our team as a Facility Manager in Ontario, CA. You will be responsible for engaging your team to maintain the highest levels of safety and compliance, quality, performance, and customer experience. To achieve this, the Facility Manager is expected to provide the tools and guide their team needs for success, while recommending and designing improvements through data-driven decision-making.
In this role, you will oversee all daily functions of the fulfillment operations team, including safety, warehousing, and internal inventory movements, DOT, employee development, and implementing all company initiatives.
Key Skills and Abilities Include:
- Able to establish and maintain a culture of safety that features respect for fellow employees, the public, and the environment
- Ability to effectively and clearly communicate new directions and strategies to a diverse team
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
- Proficient with general new technology, as well as the Microsoft Suite
- Experience in distribution and fulfillment, with demonstratable ownership abilities
- Management experience preferred
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Agriculture experience is a plus, but not required

Specific Responsibilities and Key Deliverables Include:
- Promote safety culture and attend EHSS training and meetings when necessary
- Comply with all Wilbur-Ellis safety and regulatory procedures
- Oversee all aspects of day-to-day fulfilment and facility operations
- Provide direction to facility employees, including warehouse/process leads, warehouse representatives, and commercial drivers
- Assist with or develop an annual budget, own the facility P&L, and manage performance to plan
- Set facility goals and objectives that are aligned with the division's strategic plan
- Provide support to your team members as required to achieve facility goals
- Drive the creation of lean initiatives to enable the facility to meet business plans and objectives
- Align facility and personal goals with our corporate social responsibility criteria whenever possible
- Collaborate with all support teams including Safety, DOT, and People & Culture (HR)
- Present a professional image through personal appearance and overall facility cleanliness
- Other duties as required and assigned
Compensation and Benefits:
- In compliance with all states and cities requiring transparency of pay, the base compensation for this position ranges from $65,000 - $75,000. Note that salary may vary based on location, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for vacation, holidays, health, dental, vision, mental health, retirement plans, and other benefits.
