Facilities Maintenance Technician Job at H-E-B Center at Cedar Park
JOB SUMMARY: The Facilities Technician performs a variety of activities involved in the operation and maintenance of the facility’s equipment, plumbing, mechanical and electrical systems, ice, and general operations. This position is responsible for the successful delivery of all aspects of the ice events and maintenance services in order to guarantee a safe, clean facility. This position is not eligible for remote work.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Ideal candidate will display a high level of ability in one or several of the following areas:
- Working knowledge of electrical circuits, outlets, lighting and lighting ballasts
- Basic knowledge of HVAC with ability to change filters belts, and bearings
- Basic plumbing knowledge
- Ability to patch/paint accurately
- General physical maintenance of facility such as flooring, doors, windows, ceiling tiles, and more
- Responsible for completion of work orders assigned through management
- Perform scheduled maintenance of equipment
- Assures facility readiness and smooth operation of events
- Assures a safe environment for all patrons and employees by following the life safety and emergency program
- Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes and works cooperatively to provide quality customer service
- Implements and practice facility regulations, policies and procedures
- Anticipate problems and appropriate solutions Provide clear, concise, and timely communication
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS (Not required, but a plus):
- Be able to add oil to compressors, drain chiller pot, change Zamboni blade, accurately manage and log ice plant readings
- Knowledge of ice maintenance skills and installation
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D
- Willingness and desire to learn multiple areas of the sports and entertainment business
- Problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Ability to work extended and/or irregular hours including nights, weekends and holidays
Physical Demands and Working Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, sit, use hands and fingers, handle objects and office tools, reach, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee is exposed to an office environment, with noise levels usually moderate.
