EXPERIENCED CUSTOM FABRICATOR – CUSTOM CANOPY & SHADE STRUCTURE SHOP – CHARLOTTE, NC

We are currently looking for an EXCEPTIONAL FABRICATOR to join our team! Must be skilled in ALL aspects of fabrication and aluminum TIG welding. Our production schedule is filled with all custom jobs that are fabricated in-house, mostly from custom extrusion and tubing, plates, and some steel (very little sheet metal involved). Candidate must be a creative with experience in building from raw materials. This is not a jig or production work position; every project is unique. Candidate will be responsible for accurately fitting and fabricating their own work from raw materials with and without shop drawings. Our shop is climate controlled year round and well ventilated! We require 3-5 years of experience with concentration in fabrication a MUST. SELF-MOTIVATION IS KEY, able to manage time well, willing to work independently, AND with others. We are NOT looking for a standalone welder; we are looking for a talented FABRICATOR ready to take ownership of his own work within a team environment

Interview will include on-site welding skill evaluation, also a portfolio of your work would be a PLUS.

We want to pay what you are worth but starting pay will be based on EXPERIENCE AND WORK HISTORY WITH VERIFIABLE EXCELLENT REFERENCES BOTH PROFESSIONALLY AND PERSONALLY. Pay is competitive with starting range of $45,000-$75,000 per year to start – paid hourly PLUS OVERTIME –- 90-day reevaluation WILL BE based on PERFORMANCE, SKILLSET, ATTITUDE, AND SELF-MOTIVATION. Ultimately, we are looking for an experienced Fabricator that doesn’t mind responsibility. There is opportunity for the right guy with a work hard mentality that is willing to take on a lead roll in our fabrication department, including R & D, improved fabrication methods, and quality control.
