General Position Summary

Essential Functions
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Inspects equipment daily to ensure it is clean and sanitary.
- Conducts changeovers, and line/conveyor changes.
- Monitors and adjust extruders by observing output quality.
- Responsible for assembling and disassembling of extruders according to SOP.
- Troubleshoots and proactively solves potential problems with equipment.
- Responsible for training/cross training new extruder operators.
- Communicates with all members of the production, quality, and maintenance team to ensure positive flow of production and accomplish goals of the production schedule.
- Responsible for attending and participating in assigned training sessions related to safety, GMPs, SOPs, HACCP and SQF; applying and demonstrating obtained knowledge and following all procedures and policies related to food safety.
- Responsible for keeping work area safe and clean.
- Adheres to all safety guidelines for job performed
- Other duties may be assigned by supervision as needed.
- Complies with all Plant, State and Federal OSHA, EPA, FDA, HACCP, and SQF regulations.
- Understands applicable SQF requirements.
- Ability to work as part of a team; capable of learning multiple jobs and maintain a high quality of work.
- Ability to identify and analyze issues
- Ability to learn new procedures and concepts quickly
- Desire to be a hands-on, on-the-floor oriented manufacturing team member.
- Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Computer skills: Proficient with Excel, Word and Outlook

- 1-2 years of experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Extrusion, Milling, and/or Seasoning equivalent work experience preferred.
