Pearlstone Center, a 184 acre Retreat Center and Farm located in Northern Reisterstown, MD, is looking for a talented Cook who is passionate about food to work 4 days/evenings a week in our kitchen. We specialize in Kosher Farm-to-Table wholesome meals prepared by a highly skilled team of culinarians.
Ideal candidates will have excellent leadership and cooking skills, advanced knife skills, great attention to detail, be a team player, have a modern and creative portfolio, prioritize cleanliness and sanitation, and have the desire to take direction and critical feedback from his/her Executive Chef. Candidates should also have a passion for farm-to-table cooking, extensive experience with kitchen organization, food and dry goods inventory, and must possess average to advanced Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
Ideal candidates will be available both days and evenings; exact days are negotiable. Must have a minimum of 5 years experience as a cook or chef in a restaurant or commercial kitchen and minimum of 2 years as lead or head cook. Knowledge of kosher cooking a plus.

Job Duties:
- Prepare all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner
- Follow recipes and presentation specifications
- Operate standard kitchen equipment safety and efficiently
- Clean and maintain station in practicing good safety and sanitation
- Assist with the cleaning and organization of kitchen and equipment
- Restock items as needed throughout the shift
- Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes

- Lift up to 50 lb.
- Walk or stand for the majority of a work shift
- Operate machinery for the majority of a work shift
