Job Title: Experienced OR Technician - Join Our Surgery Team in Hermiston, Oregon
We are seeking an experienced OR Technician to join our Day Surgery team at Health Care System in Hermiston, OR. As an OR Technician, you will perform a variety of technical duties to assist the surgeon, patient, and team with surgical procedures. You must be able to work independently and maintain composure in a fast-paced, unpredictable environment.
Responsibilities:
Prepare operating rooms for surgery, including sterilizing equipment and ensuring all necessary tools are available
Assist surgeons during procedures by handing them instruments and maintaining a sterile field
Monitor patients' vital signs and ensure their safety during procedures
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure patients receive the best possible care
Maintain patient confidentiality and convey empathy and compassion to those expressing pain, grief, or trauma
Requirements:
Must be a graduate of an accredited school or Surgical Technology Program
Minimum of one year current operating room experience (student experience allowed)
BLS and Certification as Surgery Tech required
Ability to provide care for patients of all ages and cultural backgrounds
Must be able to lift/carry 50 lbs or more and tolerate frequent prolonged standing/walking
Bilingual and/or English-Spanish speaking preferred
