Experienced Construction Engineer Job at Mead & Hunt
Mead & Hunt, Inc., a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, has a position open for an experienced civil engineer to work with and potentially lead our construction engineering and inspection team. Responsibilities include overseeing construction inspections, designs, reports, studies, specifications and construction documents; developing mentoring junior staff; assisting with business development; serving as the project manager as necessary. This position has the opportunity to eventually lead and supervise the construction inspection and engineering team. Supervisory responsibilities include providing mentoring and guidance to team members; working with the department manager to plan the strategic growth and development of the team; reviewing and approving timesheets, expense reports, training requests, and conference attendance; conducting performance reviews. Travel will be required.
Qualifications:- a bachelor’s degree (or higher) in civil engineering;
- at least 10 years of relevant work experience; and
- a PE license in any state with ability to obtain in Ohio within six months of start date
- Experience with transportation design and construction projects
- Serving as the project manager on transportation related projects
- Experience mentoring or supervising staff
- Experience with business development activities
