To maintain a smooth flow between the tables(waitstaff) and kitchen(cooks), ensuring orders are completed quickly and correctly while being delivered to tables in a timely manner.

• Stock and maintain cleanliness of kitchen expo area
• Organize tickets as they come in
• Communicate in the kitchen by calling orders, getting status on dishes, and calling for food runners or waitstaff to deliver completed dishes
• Inspecting the quality, preparation, presentation, and temperature of completed dishes
• Monitor food portions of completed dishes according to recipes and restaurant standards
• Performing finishing touches to completed dishes, such as adding garnishes and removing smudges
• Handling customer complaints on behalf of the kitchen staff and looking for solutions and training opportunities
• Communicating special requests from waitstaff to kitchen(prioritizing allergies)
• Communicating dishes or ingredients that have run out from kitchen to waitstaff
• Assist all staff as needed

• Previous expeditor experience preferred, but not necessary

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, hands to feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to walk; and talk or hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

The position is indoors and outdoors; and is exposed to hot, humid and/or cold conditions at times. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. The staff member will work in a high traffic/high volume business environment and will be required to spend a majority of their time on their feet.
