Are you an experienced or certified veterinary technician with strong exotics experience looking for an opportunity to utilize your extensive technical skills in surgery, anesthesia and exam rooms? Boston Veterinary Clinic is a fast-paced and progressive multi-doctor practice looking for technicians with experience with exotic species We currently operate 5 clinics in Boston's Seaport, South End, Charlestown, Coolidge Corner, Brookline and Wellesley. We are thrilled that we are quickly extending our reach to provide gold standards of care to the pets of Greater Boston. We have multiple clinicians that are experienced with zoologic companion species. Our clinics are state-of-the-art with Surgivet monitoring (EtCO2, O2 sat, ECG, BP, body temperature, etc.), digital dental and general radiology, Sevoflurane, laser scalpel, etc. We encourage career-minded technicians to submit their resumes and join Boston Veterinary Clinic, where we pride ourselves on being our clients’ “other family doctor”. A successful candidate for our Zoological Companion Technician position will be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and will possess the following skills: Extensive knowledge on preventative care topics related to exotic companion species, Drug calculation, phlebotomy/venipuncture, IV catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, surgical assistance, strong client communication and education, knowledge of all routinely used medications, preventatives and vaccines, monitoring of sedated patients and basic wound care. Knowledge of Fear Free practices a plus, but training will be provided as needed. This position would require traveling to the various clinics based on scheduling needs.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour

Schedule:
