As part of our executive leadership team, the Executive Patient Care Administrator leads one of the largest NICUs in the country with an outstanding reputation. Ranked as Florida’s #1 Hospital in Neonatology by U.S. News & World Report 2022-2023, this position reports directly to the Chief Nurse Executive and will lead an incredible team of over 300 FTEs. Direct reports include the Directors of Nursing for the level II and Level III NICU, Clinical Nurse Specialist, Assistant Nurse Managers and Clinical Nurse Managers. Our 142-bed NICU has an array of specialized services including a program dedicated to the care of micro-preemies, neonatal transport and ECMO programs.

Welcoming nearly 14,000 babies each year, the hospital’s 350 beds include 142 neonatal intensive care beds and enjoys a stellar reputation through our optimal patient experience scores.

Position Summary
Monitors quality and budgeting standards, while managing to achieve hospital and corporate goals. Works with the Chief Nursing Officer and Chair of Medical Staff Leadership to address patient care issues by serving as a member of key medical and planning committees of the hospital. Ensures that a continuous improvement approach is implemented to measure actual performance against established standards for nursing and patient care throughout the hospital. Plans, leads, organizes, directs, and evaluates the delivery of patient care.
Experience
Six (6) years' experience in patient care management including nursing management is required. Experience in managing clinical services in a managed care environment, including productivity enhancement, cost reduction, new program development, and quality management is also required. Must demonstrate the ability to affect good medical staff relations while working with highly qualified physicians.
Education/Training
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN), Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) with Graduate degree in Business or health-related field.

Licensure/Certification

  • Current licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Florida or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
  • National leadership board certification through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or American Organization for Nursing Leadership (AONL). For Team Members hired into this job prior to June 28, 2020, this requirement must be met within 6 months.
