Everyday Cafe PREP COOK / KITCHEN HELP

MONDAY THRU FRIDAY - NO NIGHTS, NO WEEKENDS, CLOSED HOLIDAYS

IMMEDIATE HIRING – Shifts 6am to 4pm or 6am to 11am; Fulltime or Part-time, Monday - Friday

PAY - $10.50 TO $13.50 PER HOUR based on experience

On the Quantico Marine Base, Russell Knox Building, Off Route 95

ADHERING TO ALL CDC GUIDELINES FOR RESTAURANT LOCATIONS.

Exciting opportunity to join our team at our Everyday Cafe as KITCHEN PREP/COOK. You will assist the Executive Chef and Restaurant Manager with back of the house (BOH) functions. We serve breakfast and lunch, Mon-Fri including prepackaged foods, made to order Chef’s Corner featuring daily specials, and a grab and go station. You will be responsible for helping to provide exceptional menus items to each of our guests. Crew members will work as reliable and valuable players on our team.

Responsibilities:

• Operates kitchen equipment to weigh, measure, mix, wash, peel, cut, chop, grind, portion, and prepare ingredients for the day's menu offerings
• Undertakes basic cooking tasks by making sauces, parboiling foods, preparing sides, etc.
• Keeps prep areas and serving stations fully stocked; understands food rotation to insure fresh selections
• Adheres to all safety and sanitation regulations as required by Naval Operations directives
• Break down food stations and store leftovers properly
• Maintain the restaurant according to base cleanliness standards
• Receive and check in truck deliveries and maintain stockroom

Qualifications:

• Dependability is a must; follow schedule and arrive on time
• Able to work year-round (not seasonal summer work)
• Have reliable transportation
• Be capable of heavy lifting and standing for long periods of time
