The Job:
- Generate new business and maintain relationships with existing clients through face-to-face interactions, phone calls, emails, and other communication methods
- Provide hands-on explanations of any new or updated products when necessary
- Tailor our services to work with the unique needs of each client
- Conduct food tastings and present customers with our products
- Educate customers on the features of our services
- Work closely with our culinary and event planning teams to ensure that our clients receive the best possible service and experience
- Liaise with multiple departments and stakeholders inside and outside of the company
- Communicate effectively with different personality types and explain complex operational needs so they’re easily understood by colleagues
- Think strategically and work collaboratively with internal teams
- Solve problems and demonstrate strong organizational skills
- Pay attention to details and maintain impeccable ethics
- Excellent Interpersonal Skills: You must be a strong verbal and non-verbal communicator, building lasting relationships, working collaboratively, motivating others, and negotiating and persuading.
- Excellent Customer Service Skills: You must consistently meet customers' expectations in a quick, easy, personalized, and empathetic manner. Understanding the unique needs of our clients through our "6 P's" is crucial.
- Sales and Negotiation: You should possess the ability to strike a balance between accommodating prospects and bringing back financially viable deals that bring a favorable return to both sides.
- Organizational Skills: You must be able to stay focused on different tasks, effectively and efficiently achieving the desired sales outcome.
- Attention to Details: You should accomplish tasks with a thorough concern for all areas involved, no matter how small.
- Ability to Use Technology: You must have the right skills and intuitive knowledge to operate modern devices and software effectively, including CRM software tools, email, and other technical concepts, and know how to apply them in different contexts.

- Strong Communication Skills: You should convey confidence and friendliness while being an active listener, giving and receiving feedback, and providing clarity with empathy and respect. You must be able to communicate effectively through various mediums, including spoken word, written, body language, or electronic communication.
- Ability to Effectively Manage Pressure
- Cost Analysis: You should execute the business strategy for offsite sales, minimizing expenses while maximizing profits.
- Food and Beverage Knowledge: You must have an understanding of food and beverage products, company menus, and food and beverage trends, and the ability to apply them to specific client-facing situations.
- Direct Supervision: You must be able to function without direct supervision and ensure that HC's standards, policies, and procedures are upheld.
- Training: You must maintain the ability to ascertain training needs to keep current in catering and offsite sales for yourself and the company.
- Confidentiality: You must have the ability to ensure the security and confidentiality of client information.
Salary:
- Compensation is a combination of base salary and commission.
- Base salaries range between $60k to $65k DOE.
- When the commission is added, annual compensation for someone successful in this position would range from $100k to $120k annually.
