DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
This is a full-time, close to 100% remote position (travel for clients, occasional internal meetings, etc.), for self-starters who are able to focus, complete work, and communicate effectively using virtual tools (e.g., Zoom, email, phone, etc.)
Co-manage evaluation and research projects with the Senior Evaluator’s guidance to complete tasks and manage individuals to ensure they complete tasks, conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses, write reports, and develop and administer evaluation instruments.
RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE ANY OR ALL OF THE FOLLOWING PROJECT MANAGEMENT
- Manage evaluation projects with oversight and guidance from Senior Evaluator
- Independently manage evaluation projects
- Communicate with clients (co-lead client calls for all projects, email communication with evaluation updates, and attend client meetings, including some travel)
- Engage in cross-team projects led by different Senior Evaluators/Directors
- Monitor time for task completion
- Develop and review project invoices
- Ability to adapt and re-prioritize based on emerging needs
DATA COLLECTION, MANAGEMENT, AND ANALYSIS
- Develop evaluation instruments including surveys, evaluation forms, interview protocols, focus group protocols, assessment rubrics, etc.
- Administer surveys, and conduct focus groups, interviews, observations, among other data collection methods
- Develop data analysis plans
- Prepare, create, and manage master databases for projects
- Clean and analyze quantitative and qualitative data by applying appropriate analysis techniques
REPORTING
- Develop report outlines
- Develop reports of all types in user-friendly, accessible formats that meet clients’ needs
- Develop relevant data visualizations
- Review analyses and writing is done by research analysts
- Contribute to formally and informally presenting at project meetings, advisory board meetings, and conferences
EVALUATION DESIGN
- Develop detailed evaluation plans, logic models, and concept maps. Contribute to the methodological and theoretical design of evaluation and research projects
- Conduct literature reviews to identify appropriate evaluation methods
TEAM MANAGEMENT AND LEADERSHIP
- Supervise and coach/mentor Research Analysts
- Communicate within and outside of team regarding priorities, task progress, and task completion
- Assist with preparing employee performance reviews and professionally develop plans, co- conduct performance reviews, and assist with implementing professional development plans
- Participate in hiring (i.e. screening resumes, job interviews)
- Ability to delegate tasks based off emerging needs
OTHER
- Assist with developing new business
- Other evaluation and research-related responsibilities as customarily performed by an employee in a similar position
- Participate in professional development activities to benefit individual, team, and company
- Participate in committees and taskforce
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Master’s degree in a field in which evaluation-related skills were learned and practiced
- At least 2 years of data preparation, analysis, and reporting experience in an evaluation- related field
REQUIRED EVALUATION/RESEARCH KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Strong R, Excel and statistical analysis methods skills with an ability to learn new methods
- Familiarity with experimental and quasi-experimental research and evaluation
- Familiarity with online survey management platforms (ie. Survey Gizmo, Qualtrics)
- Experience developing evaluation forms, surveys, and focus group and interview protocols
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Excellent writing, communication, and data visualization skills
- Experience in evaluation and research writing and presentation in academic and applied contexts

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Must have strong, stable, reliable internet connection with adequate speed and security protocols. Additionally a quiet place to take meetings
COMPENSATION
SALARY
- The starting salary range for this position has been established at $65,000 to $70,000 (EA) and is commensurate with degree, skills, experience, and number of years experience working in a mid or senior level position as an evaluator managing clients and projects
- Opportunities to earn bonuses beyond the base salary are also available. Although not required, employees have opportunities to submit an evaluation and research-related proposals in their areas of interest and specialization to earn bonuses and develop their own work portfolios
