ESTIMATOR – GARDENA, CA 90249

Xcel Mechanical Systems is seeking a full-time project Estimator who will be responsible for preparing and submitting new business proposals for commercial HVAC, mechanical piping and plumbing projects.
This includes interacting with our customers and vendors, attending job walks at project sites, generating project take-off documentation, collecting pricing from subcontractors and suppliers, and pulling together and sending to our clients competitive bids for new projects. This position interacts and collaborates with multiple external and internal business units, including Project Engineering, Project
Management and Field Operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate, thorough and competitive project proposals for commercial HVAC, mechanical piping and plumbing projects
• Thorough review of project-scope documentation and project drawings
• Attend scheduled job walks
• Complete material take-offs, collect pricing, prepare estimates
• Communicate with external and internal project partners
• Hit key milestones and submission deadlines

Key Competencies:

• HVAC, Piping and Plumbing project estimation experience
• Familiarity with digital project-estimation platforms
• QuickPen experience preferred
• Proficient with Microsoft Office: Outlook/Word/Excel

Pay: $50,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
