Estimator Job at Cornerstone Building Brands
Assists sales group with the reading of blue prints, cost estimation and ordering of acoustical, commercial and multi-family orders.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Submit quotes on commercial and multi-family projects for Cornerstone BB products
- Communicate with salesmen and customers daily
- Consistently verifies pricing for accuracy
- Completes take-offs for commercial and multi-family projects
- Reads blueprints for commercial and multi-family jobs and communicates with sales / architects all concerns, questions, or suggestions
- Research all IBC codes to ensure codes used are correct
- Prepare commercial orders to be sent to CSD by breakdown of project
- Utilize company provided software to determine measurements and specifications for specialty windows
- Provide drawings for install to subcontractors for field application
- Read and interpret contract to ensure window and door specifications can be met
- Update quote log and maintains the filing system for each project
- Understand and apply all industry specifications
- All other duties as assigned by management
- High school diploma or GED
- CAD certification helpful
- Minimum three years window industry experience in similar position
- Must possess excellent verbal/written communication skills, be self-motivated and a self-starter with personable and excellent organization skills
- Must be detail-oriented and have ability to problem solve
- Must be computer literate
- Must also demonstrate ability to deal with other supervisory staff
- Must be able to lift/carry materials up to 20 lbs, sit and stand for long periods of time

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $60,000 to $70,000 + medical, dental, vision benefits starting day 1 + 401k and PTO. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
