Impact Transportation is a full service logistics company located in the Port of Oakland, specializing in warehousing, transportation, distribution, and cross-docking, seeking a on-site mechanic that will be manage our maintenance manager & repair services for our fleet vehicles and job-site equipment.
- Keep logs and document any maintenance
- Keep fleets running smoothly, and fix problems when they arise.
- Maintain DOT/BIT compliance through regularly scheduled inspections.
- Document repairs and parts on work orders completely and accurately.
- Maintains tools and work places so that conditions are neat and orderly.
- Must be thoroughly familiar with all safety provisions associated with vehicle maintenance
- Understands OSHA standards and provisions.
Skills
- Proven experience and knowledge of the warehouse and transportation industry.
- Must be able to communicate effectively in writing and verbally in the English language. Must be able to perform basic math skills accurately.
- Thorough understanding of marketing and negotiating techniques.
- Fast learner and passion for sales.
- Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.
- Detailed-oriented, organized, and able to work in a fast-paced environment with excellent multi-tasking skills.
- Must have an understanding of corporate culture and understanding of the warehouse and transportation industry.
- High school diploma.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
