Full-Time, Days 8am-5pm.
Responsibilities:
The Epic Web and Service Server Administrator (WSSA) is a critical, hands‐on role. This person installs and administers the Epic web and service servers. This role is involved in configuration, deployment, proactive monitoring, and maintenance.
  • Managing print queues and Epic printing infrastructure.
  • Monitoring network and Web server activity for security breaches using intrusion detection techniques.
  • Performing file system management.
  • Installing and managing the application deployment platforms that serve production, reporting, disaster recovery, training, and non‐production needs.
  • Installing and maintaining administrative and monitoring tools necessary for high levels of availability and performance of the Epic system.
  • Understanding performance metrics, monitoring system performance, and troubleshooting issues.
  • Assisting in the configuration and troubleshooting of integrated third-party software and peripherals.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in management information systems preferred or Associate's degree in Management Information Systems, or related field AND three (2) years of experience installing, securing, deploying, monitoring and maintaining web-based applications within a corporate environment; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience, training and/or education.

Licensure/Certification:

  • Applicable Epic Certification(s) for applications/technologies supported must be achieved within 6 months of hire date.
    • Microsoft Core Infrastructure (MCSE) preferred but not required.
      • Epic Client Systems Administration ‐ BLOB, Business Continuity Access, and Printing
      • Epic Client Systems Administration ‐ MyChart, MyChart Mobile, and EpicCare Link
      • Epic Client Systems Administration Care Everywhere
      • Epic Client Systems Administration Hyperspace Web, Interconnect, and System Pulse
Experience:

Minimum -

  • Two (2) years of experience in management of O/S, web, database, and application server support and maintenance including planning, coordinating, and executing installation and upgrades of systems supporting web-based applications.
  • Two (2) years of experience in a high availability enterprise environment supporting Intel based operating systems.

Preferred -

  • Three (3) years of experience in management of Microsoft IIS 10 web server including the site administration, configuration of SSL, file backup and restoration, and reviewing IIS log files to assist with troubleshooting website issues.
