Overview:
Full-time, benefited position working 80 hours per two week pay period. Days of work are Monday - Friday with hours from 8:00am - 4:30pm or 9:00am - 5:00pm. Weekend work and Holiday work are as need.

This position supervises employees and operations of both environmental services and linen services. Will be trained in all areas that services are provided. Will provide daily support to employees where needed. Will create schedule for both departments. Will work with compliance in multiple facets.The position assures staffing levels are met to ensure clean, orderly and attractive conditions in the hospital and that linen is properly processed and delivered throughout the facility.
Responsibilities:
- The EVS/LS supervisor will work 40 hours a week between Environmental Services and Linen Services functions. Dependent upon staffing, the hours will not necessarily be evenly split.
- Tasks include being exclusively in charge of training new employees and continued training with current employees. Will also work on department cleaning check lists, monthly cleaning lists, “special” cleaning (ex: ceiling lights and AC vents) lists.
- Prepare employee monthly schedule to assure staffing levels are met throughout the facility for the duration of the schedule. This is accomplished through working with employees and their respective hired hours, vacation requests, and any daily schedule interference that can occur.
- Instructs and trains new employees in the use of new equipment and proper cleaning and upkeep methods.
- Focus on meeting and exceeding Environmental Services and Linen Services yearly goals and action plans through collaboration with Support Services Manager and employees.
- Strive to achieve or exceed Xenex UV Disinfection standard operation plan goals.
- Work with Support Services Manager to achieve CHEST (Certified Healthcare Environmental Services Technician) and CHEST Trainer status.
- Work with Support Services Manger on implementation of Spartan CleanCheck and Spartan CompuClean programs and monitoring.
- Will be competently trained to provide coverage in every department that Environmental Services provides service and competently trained to provide coverage in Linen Services.
- Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
Work requires a level of knowledge acquired by graduation from high school in order to follow written and oral instructions, perform simple calculations and to deal effectively with other people.
