Job Title: Environmental Compliance Specialist
We are seeking an experienced Environmental Compliance Specialist to join our team. As an Environmental Compliance Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring operational compliance with state and federal laws, with a primary focus on the Oil & Gas industry.
Responsibilities:
- Perform environmental audits, site assessments, and compliance inspections in the Oil & Gas industry
- Conduct leak detection and repair (LDAR) inspections, method 21 and optical gas imaging
- Prepare and submit permit applications for Coastal Use Permits (CUP), Wetland Delineations and Permits, Water Discharge Permits (NPDES), and Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP) and Best Management Practices (BMP)
- Provide regulatory and environmental guidance to clients
- Develop and implement environmental compliance programs for clients
- Conduct environmental sampling (soil, water, air) and manage waste disposal
- Prepare and submit environmental reports (DMR, Tier II, RMP)
- Manage environmental compliance for Oil & Gas drilling, production, and site clearance
- Maintain knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental regulations
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of environmental compliance experience in the Oil & Gas industry
- Experience with leak detection and repair (LDAR) inspections, method 21 and optical gas imaging
- Background in Gulf of Mexico offshore EPA/ BOEM/ BSEE environmental programs
- Familiarity with Coastal Use Permits (CUP), Wetland Delineations and Permits, Water Discharge Permits (NPDES), and Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP) and Best Management Practices (BMP)
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software
