We are looking for a curious and client-focused Entry Level Structural Engineer to grow with our Advanced Manufacturing Team in a hybrid or in-person capacity (in Appleton / Green Bay, WI, Pittsburgh, PA, or Greenville, SC) or working remote from anywhere in the United States. You’ll work on a variety of projects pertaining to industrial clients ranging from the designs of plant modifications to new facilities. You will be performing various aspects of structural engineering assignments, subsequently increasing the depth and breadth of familiarity with design methods and tools. You will be contributing and working with a diverse team of engineers and designers on small capital projects or in areas within larger capital projects. You’ll have the opportunity to grow technically and professionally with the assistance of senior engineers, as you gain more experience and expand your leadership role within the organization.

Main Responsibilities:

Performing a variety of calculations including, but not limited to steel and concrete member design, building foundation design, heavy equipment anchorage, and foundation design, and design of lateral load resistant systems. You will be creating 3D models using STAAD or RISA in concert with manual calculations and spreadsheets to design various structural components. You should be prepared to help with the development of engineering drawings and specifications, material take-offs for estimating, and checking shop drawings.

Here’s What You’ll Need:
  • BS in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering with Structural Emphasis in an accredited program
  • FE certificate or obtainable within a year

Ideally, you’ll also have:

  • MS in Structural Engineering in an accredited program
  • RISA-3D experience
  • Experience with current AISC Manual, ASCE 7, IBC, and ACI 318
  • 3D Structural analysis software experience
  • AutoCAD, Excel, & Word experience
  • Revit experience
  • Completion of structural engineering focused coursework including advanced courses in steel, reinforced concrete, and foundations/soils; Courses in masonry
