Location: Huntsville, AL, Redstone Arsenal
Schedule: Full Time
Job Description: AVNIK is seeking an entry-level analyst for aviation and missile technical publications to support the current and evolving Aviation and Missile Command (AMCOM) Logistics Center at Redstone Arsenal. Education requirements are BS/BA with no experience or HS+3 years technical writing and editing experience. BA English Preferred.

As a member of our Provisioning team, you'll interface with the customer and be charged with performing analysis for the US Army. You’ll use your interpersonal skills to develop lasting relationships with internal AMCOM personnel as well as external organizations and PM stakeholders.
The position will include collaboration within a team environment while emphasizing individual contributions to produce products that are valuable to the customer. Candidates must have good people skills and the desire to work with a highly technical team of functional experts.
Education Requirements: Applicants must have a minimum of an accredited Bachelors or similar degree field and zero (0) Years' experience. BA, English preferred. Advanced degree a plus. High School and 3+ years of experience may be considered in lieu of education for Analyst position.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Self-starter that can work with limited supervision and guidance
- Must become familiar with Army publications policy, guidance, and Military Standards
- Must have excellent skills with MS Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel, and Adobe Suite. Demonstrated proficiency with advanced knowledge and use of Excel and Desk Top Computer to provide charts, graphs, data analysis.
- Strong verbal and written skills to support interaction with customers:
- Participate in meetings and document meetings minutes
- Capture and track action items to closure, and writing reports, etc.
- Exceptional grammar, writing, and editing skills in accordance with academic college and graduate standards for research writers, to include Chicago/Turabian manual.
- Ability to perform as part of multi-disciplinary Aviation team/IPT/Working Groups
- Strong interpersonal skills and reporting practices
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills; ability to clearly express ideas/concepts in discussions and written documents and to deliver regular updates and feedback clearly and tactfully.
- US Citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a US SECRET Clearance
Duties:
- Perform technical writing and editing functions on ALC aviation and missile technical publications
- Convert existing technical publications to MIL-STD 40051 formats
