Job description

As a Racking and De-Masking associate, of aerospace/defense machined components, the responsibilities include, but are not limited to, production support of parts that need chemical cleaning and anodize process:

• Inspecting, counting, and racking parts at the beginning of the processing line and cross training for basic level un-racking and packaging of parts after chemical process
• Preparing parts for the production process
• Complete paperwork as necessary

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare parts and components for masking including but not limited to hand wiping, blowing out holes, light chemical cleaning, etc.
• Reference blueprints or work instructions to accurately assess masking requirements specified on the print.
• Efficiently and accurately mask parts in accordance with the predefined work order prior to the painting and plating process. Maskers apply tapes, waxes, liquid maskants, or other materials to aerospace parts using various equipment and tools.
• Select racking procedure according to part size, shape, and number of objects
• Rack/Un-rack parts
• Assist in the inspection of product and notifies the Production Supervisor of any non-conformances.
• Record masking details on the job ticket and any necessary information on the work order as required.
• Accurately complete daily productivity documentation to ensure on-time delivery.
• Always work safely and comply with all safety regulations while working with hazardous materials and chemicals.
• Maintain equipment and the work area in a clean and organized manner.

Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Detail-oriented and consistent, with basic ability in mathematics, reading, or writing
• Able to multitask, prioritize and work under time constraints
• Be a team player and willing to be trained to work in other areas, as assigned, communicate well with peers and management
• You are organized, follow procedures, and great at meeting deadlines.
• Follow written and verbal instructions

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods standing and performing repetitive tasks, manual dexterity to perform job functions effectively, and have excellent hand-eye coordination
• Lift up to 25 pounds, at a time
• Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and adhere to all safety requirements
