Our accredited institution has been offering quality ESL programs to college-aged international students since 1982 with campuses in Los Angeles, Irvine, and Rowland Heights.

We are currently seeking in-person ESL teachers for morning shifts at our Irvine campus.

Our morning classes run from 9:00 am to 1:30 pm, Monday through Wednesday. There is an online office hour on Thursdays, 9:00 am to 10:00 am. Since we respect the importance of prepping for lessons, 3.5 hours of prep-time pay per week is provided. Therefore, our morning teachers receive 18 hours of compensation per week. Additional private tutoring hours are available for our high performing instructors.

We frequently promote our high performing teachers to Head Teacher, Academic Director, Campus Director and Director positions.

Teacher Duties and Responsibilities

• Teach adult international students in-person with average class size of 10-15 students
• Design engaging and interactive lessons for adult ESL learners
• Assign homework and projects to students via the online platform
• Administer quizzes and tests
• Grade students' work and provide constructive feedback
• Record attendance and grades using the school's system
• Submit monthly / quarterly reports for private tutoring students
• Attend quarterly faculty meetings & participate in professional development

Teacher Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; preferably in the Education field
• Teaching ESL certificates / credentials
• 2+ years ESL/EFL teaching experience (preferred)
• Virtual teaching experience required
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Computer proficiency: MS office, Zoom, Google Classroom, Cambridge LMS
• Ability to learn and navigate new online platform
