As the Archbald Spares, Repairs, and Field Service Manager, the selected candidate will be responsible for the management and development of their team, support of department initiatives and directorate undertakings, and driving technical excellence, affordability, and program execution.
For the management and development of their team, the manager is responsible for providing technical coaching and mentoring, work assignments, employee career development, continuous ongoing feedback, and being their employees advocate in opportunity discussions.
To support functional initiatives and directorate undertakings, the manager is responsible for coordinating employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessments, salary planning, recognition/disciplinary actions, and engineering competency development. To drive technical excellence, affordability, and program execution, the manager is responsible for all program management and execution of Spares, Repairs, and Field Service contracts, promoting customer focus, and coordination of multiple cross functional departments while executing repairs projects.
Specific tasks for management include encouragement of cross-program knowledge transfer between the various efforts underway to ensure best practice processes are shared, overall efforts are monitored and resources properly allocated to support Spares, Repairs, and Field Service on all program issues, and acting as the focal point for Program Management, Engineering, and Production Operations efforts on bid and proposal (B&P) activities for cost proposals and other mission area initiatives. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for laying out the optimal process flow for all Spares, Repairs, and Field Service scope in both high and low volume and forecasting the outlook and developing plans to execute backlog and projected new orders.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 9 years of professional experience; or 7 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.
• Project management or team lead experience including task planning, budget management, subcontract management and/or employee development and mentoring
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Process Improvement and Affordability experience
• Self-Starter Personality; Ability to multitask
• Strong business acumen, management influence and whole product flow thinking
