Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Manufacturing/Process Engineering

• Lead a team of manufacturing engineers in support of multi-shift production operations in two locations to achieve output, quality and financial performance goals and objectives
• Production Support – Provide process, electrical, and mechanical engineering support to all production processes and other equipment as needed
• Process Improvement – Implement continuous improvement projects around all production processes to improve quality, reduce costs and increase capacity
• Manage projects from inception through project implementation as well as all project documentation and training
• Responsible for machine design, fabrication, assembly and debugging
• Lean Manufacturing – Facilitate the deployment of lean manufacturing techniques on all projects in support of lean culture and elimination of 8 wastes

Production Maintenance

• Lead a team of maintenance professionals in support of multi-shift production operations in two locations to achieve output, quality and financial performance goals and objectives
• Manage maintenance operations via a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) using preventative and predictive philosophies
• Team to troubleshoot and maintain complex machine control systems including drives, relays, SCADA, machine network, and PLC systems
• Team to troubleshoot and maintain mechanical systems such as motors, gearboxes, and other power transmission systems
• Work with manufacturing managers to provide timely maintenance and repair of equipment
• Ensure machine uptimes and process capabilities will meet quality and production schedules
• Supervise the management of all indirect inventories necessary for machine repairs
• Develop and maintains maintenance training programs

This position works at our Duncansville & Altoona facilities.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electromechanical, Mechanical, or Electrical preferred)
• 10 years progressive responsible job-related experience in Engineering and/or Manufacturing
• Expertise with Computer Aided Design (CAD) drafting packages
• Expertise with Allen-Bradley (Rockwell Automation) and industrial power systems
• Web converting experience a plus!
• MS Office – Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Willingness to seek out and achieve position related training and/or certifications
• Must be self-motivated and able to work independently with limited daily supervision
