Decription: The Engineering Lead will be work with Microsoft Active Directory management and Group Policy Administration. Experienced working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. Strong commitment to detailed planning, documentation, and quality assurance processes. Has the ability to demonstrate the required knowledge and skills to develop or maintain complex desktop applications with or without database back ends. Has the ability to understand, write, and maintain complex PowerShell scripts. Has excellent planning, organizing, problem solving, and verbal and written communication skills.

Must have experience work with with Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS) and/or Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA).

Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the day-to-day software engineering support of the DFAS Desktop environment (approximately 12,800 client computers).
- Provides supervision and overarching technical leadership to the engineering staff, and communicate changes to desktop software, configuration, and supporting infrastructure to DFAS management.
- Ability to work on multiple technically complex tasks simultaneously in a high-pressure customer service environment.
- Proven ability to manage staff to work effectively with end-users, Tier 1 and Tier 2 support staff and other IT process partners.
- Experience creating, maintaining, and enforcing desktop engineering in accordance with STIG and DISA Secure Host Baseline (SHB) policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures.
- Shall possess the ability to communicate in both oral and written forms, demonstrating an ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff as well as clients.
- Identifies and targets problem areas within the team to ensure processes are established or improved.
- Helps to introduce and develop best practices within the group.
- Is recognized as a subject matter expert within his/her functional area and owns major parts of the releases.
- Strong customer service awareness to keep the customers' requirements constantly in mind and ensure that activities align closely with these requirements.
- Mentors fellow team members and successfully imparts his/her expertise to them.
Required Certifications: Baseline DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification (Security+ CE) - See additional requirements below
Years of Experience: Minimum of Three (3) years’ experience
Minimum Degree/Certification Requirement: Bachelor’s degree in an Information Technology field or a Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert
Minimum Clearance Requirement: DoD Top Secret clearance (interim considered). (Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance is required.)
Travel: Primary work site is in Columbus Ohio. If you reside outside of that area 10% travel is required.
U.S. Citizenship: Required
