Enbridge is looking for Engineer Specialist to join our Outage & Commercial Coordination Team. The position is the technical leader in Capacity Planning group, provides technical guidance and support to other engineers and validates simulation results of other engineers. What You Will Do:

Analyzes, communicates and provides guidance with experts in asset planning, pipeline/compressor design, field operations and vendors, to get most accurate pipeline and compressor data.

Utilizes pipeline simulation and optimization software to configure, calibrate and update hydraulic models for all Enbridge US natural gas pipeline systems as well as storage facilities.

Analyzes and leads other engineers in Capacity planning to run these models, along with receipt/delivery meter data, system outage information and seasonal temperature profiles, to calculate/publish Enbridge pipeline system operational capacities at the compressor station level.

Coordinates pipeline, station and storage outages, both planned and unplanned, with Gas Control, Commercial Operations, Divisions, Engineering Project team, to minimize customer impact and maximize pipeline system reliability.

Advises Gas Control the optimized operation to achieve customer nomination, especially when there are compressor/pipeline outages, as the need arises.

Coordinates, analyzes and provides detail explanations and guidance with regulatory with EPC and ASA filing.

Analyzes and supports Regulatory in FERC filings including rate case filing, supports and coordinates governmental incident investigation such as from PHIMSA, with hydraulic simulations.
Who You Are:
You will have the following education and experience:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 7 or more years of directly related experience.

Extensive knowledge in gas pipeline hydraulic simulation.

A team player with a strong work ethic and a positive attitude.

Ability to effectively converse with peers and management.

Excellent problem solving ability by using analytical skills and modeling tools.

Ability to work independently and meet tight deadline while multi-tasking.

Preferred:

Knowledge of Enbridge assets.

Working knowledge of Gregg Engineering hydraulic software.

Physical Requirements include but are not limited to: Grasping, kneeling, light – moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.
