The Capital Region Regional Clean Energy Hub helps ensure historically marginalized communities in Albany, Columbia, Greene, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Warren, and Washington counties have access to and benefit from a more inclusive clean energy economy. The Hub also helps support workforce development efforts in the region focused on clean energy jobs. The Hub is a partnership between Cornell Cooperative Extension of Albany County (CCE Albany), the Affordable Housing Partnership of the Capital Region, and New York State Energy and Development Authority (NYSERDA). CCE Albany works closely with numerous other local organizations and CCE Associations statewide.

The Energy Program Manager is responsible for providing oversight for local energy programs designed to work to inform residents, multifamily owners, and small businesses (with an emphasis in low-to-moderate income and priority communities) of the options for adopting clean energy strategies in their homes and businesses. The Manager supervises a team of educators and ensures robust and sustained program participation; serves as an influential advisor and consultant, and helps build and maintain tactful, diplomatic relationships with local, state, county, and federal governments, NYSERDA, partner organizations, and key elected officials; and remains current on emerging energy issues sharing this information as a subject matter expert for constituent audiences. This position works independently and with limited supervision, influencing policies and decisions for the Association and its constituents.
