Easterseals New Jersey is seeking a Manager of Employment Services to support our IDD Extended & Supported Employment Services!
*What will you do?
*
- The Manager of Employment Services will effectively manage the successful transitions from extended to hybrid/job sampling and competitive employment.
- Ensures the program aligns with goals and expectations to increase employability, independence, community connections, and job satisfaction.
- Establish and maintain quality employer partnerships that result in the employment of participants.
- Accountable for the fiscal management of grant/fee-for-service programs. Ensures the delivery of outstanding and highly responsive internal and external customer service with a high degree of flexibility and creativity.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
- Travel throughout New Jersey
- Work evenings, nights, weekends, and/or holidays to accommodate schedules of participants, employers, service activities
- Communicate effectively with diverse populations.
POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Manage participant transitions from EE to hybrid/job sampling, competitive employment
- Ensure that program curriculum aligns with Individual Service Plan (ISP) goals
- Assist in developing curricula & activities that are designed to improve consumer employability
- Develop and initiate job sampling and community evaluation sites
- Partner/collaborate with New Jersey workforce centers such as One Stop Centers, NJ Business Action Center (NJBAC), internal and external job placement services, and the workforce development board
- Establish community partnerships to engage enrollment, provide job sampling and other hybrid activities.
- Actively identify growth opportunities and expansion of new service offerings
- Develop training strategies to develop appropriate work attitudes and behaviors that will support competitive employment
- Conduct Job Analysis to assure an appropriate placement and understand the essential functions of the position
- Maintain professional rapport and provide quality customer service with all internal/external stakeholders
- Ensure that services comply with all regulatory, accreditation standards, and ESNJ policies and procedures
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE :
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services or rehabilitation-related field and a minimum of one-year supervisory experience preferred.
- Must have a minimum of four years’ experience in employment/training for individuals with disabilities.
- Must possess demonstrated leadership skills.
- Knowledge of disability civil rights legislation and law, including the ADA and acceptable hiring practices, and accommodations.
- Must be able to communicate an understanding of the needs of the business community and job performance assessment.
- Possess a valid driver’s license and driving record that complies with regulatory compliance.
- Works well independently and in a team; strong time management skills; detail-oriented; flexible; takes a proactive approach.
