Emergency Department Advanced Practice Provider (PA or NP) Job at Swope
We are a busy Emergency Department and are currently seeking a Nurse Practitioner to help with the day-to-day operations. The Nurse Practitioner should have prior hands-on experience in emergency medicine and will work closely with the ER staff to ensure that patients receive the highest level of treatment and care. The ideal candidate has experience diagnosing illnesses, administering medications, and has strong interpersonal skills. The Nurse Practitioner will work with the medical team to create a patient care treatment plan, and will also keep medical records updated.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose patients' medical needs.
- Perform medical examinations and procedures to diagnose and treat injuries and illness.
- Provide medical care to patients in a variety of settings, such as hospitals or clinics, depending on the area of expertise.
- Provide long-term medical care to patients with chronic conditions, such as asthma or diabetes.
- Assist doctors during surgery by administering anesthetics, monitoring the patient's vital signs, and recording the patient's status;.
- Manage patients' health care needs and communicate changes in their health status to the primary care physician.
- Examine patients, give immunizations, take blood pressure and perform other diagnostic tests.
- Participate in multi-disciplinary rounds with other members of the medical team.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $77,208.00 - $84,591.00 per year
