Ensures electrical reliability by providing maintenance and preventative maintenance services for electric motors, control panels, switchgear, motor control centers, transformers, circuit breakers, electrical distribution systems, grounding systems, relays, and other electrical equipment to achieve the company’s safety, reliability, and production goals.

• Repairs, maintains, and installs electrical systems and equipment following all safety procedures, electrical codes, manuals, schematic drawings, diagrams, and blueprints.
• Demonstrates knowledge of basic grounding/bonding and shielding, electricity, and electrical wiring and raceway systems.
• Maintains and repairs various types of electrical components.
• Uses test equipment, measuring, and alignment tools to perform assigned work tasks.
• Plans and coordinates work following appropriate work orders, work permits, and safety instructions.
• Performs work activities in a safe and environmentally sound manner.
• Reports critical finds in a timely manner to the appropriate personel and communicates other abnormal situations.

This position is hourly nonexempt status, which means you are eligible for overtime pay.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• A minimum of 5 years related electrical experience is required.
• A Shelby County (TN) Journeyman's License or State of Tennessee Master Electrician License is required.
• Associate degree or technical degree in an electrical field preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years industrial electrical experience is strongly preferred.
