Electrical and Instrumentation Technician (EIC Technician) Job at Sunny Delight Beverages Company
Summary/Objective
The Electrical, Instrumentation & Controls Technician is responsible for the repair, maintenance and reliability of the plant’s electrical, instrumentation and control systems and processes. The EIC Technician will apply their experience and practical knowledge to ensure that the plant achieves or exceeds the established goals. Instrumentation & Controls Technician will establish and perform daily preventative maintenance on the plant’s equipment and facilities. In addition, they will make repairs and adjustments to production equipment in cooperation with the Maintenance Leader, Shift Leaders and Plant engineers to assist with resolving persistent issues. The EIC Technician will focus on plant reliability and on optimizing uptime.
. Essential Functions
The essential functions of this position include but may not be limited to those listed below. Sunny Delight Beverage retains the discretion to add or change the duties of this position at any time.
1. Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) as required.
2. Comply with Sunny Delight Beverage’s policies and procedures.
3. Maintain a safe work environment; work in a safe manner following all safety SOP’s; always wear Personal Protective Equipment as required.
4. Understand and perform analog, digital, frequency, and time calibration of electronic systems and components; understand the basic process and control theory of each critical system.
5. Work independently and make sound judgments regarding work methods and tools.
6. Install new equipment or work together with outside contractors on new installations.
7. Provide EI&C expertise for new construction and repairs within the Plant according to safety, quality and trade standards and guidelines.
8. Resolve plant electrical, instrumentation and controls issues and implement corrective actions. Operate and maintain electric testing, repair, and calibration equipment.
9. Provide Leadership feedback on information regarding jobs, including determining time required, material needs, labor requirements and impact on uptime.
10. Establish and perform PM requirements for process controls and other related plant equipment, submit recommendations, and ensure follow up of corrective actions.
11. Work in accordance with all EI&C standards and electrical safety codes.
12. Collaborates actively with Leaders, Management & Engineers in all maintenance tasks and activities.
13. Identify existing or potential risks and implement corrective measures targeting prevention measures.
14. Participate in the shutdown planning and scheduling activities for all shifts and buildings.
15. Train employees on proper equipment usage.
QUALIFICATIONS:
REQUIRED
o 5+ years of manufacturing experience; strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and industrial skills with some PLC experience and HVAC.
o 5+ years of working experience in instrumentation electronic/electrical field with the emphasis on Automation
o Moderate level experience in programming, testing and simulating control systems (i.e. transmitters, control valves, PLC's, and control panels).
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
o Ability to multitask and exercise good judgment.
o Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of customer service.
o Detail-oriented with good follow-up skills

Pay: $74,880.00 - $76,960.00 per year
