Job Description
GENERAL STATEMENT OF FUNCTION: The eLearning Support Representative is responsible for supporting the eLearning needs of the campus or campuses to which it is assigned. The eLearning Support Representative is responsible for providing help desk services for all issues related to eLearning, processing registration reports, and assisting eLearning members with other projects as needed. The successful candidate will possess superb interpersonal skills and will be comfortable communicating via a variety of methods. The successful candidate will be knowledgeable of the Mississippi Virtual Community College Consortium (MSVCC) along with the policies and procedures associated with participation in the consortium. This position requires someone with superior customer service skills, an outgoing and positive attitude, a high level of integrity, and strong technology skills. The position reports to the Director of eLearning.

Job Duties
1. Provide technical support for eLearning students and faculty.
2. Build and maintain an active presence on the assigned campuses.
3. Conduct student orientation to online learning sessions.
4. Develop and conduct additional student training.
5. Send information to newly registered students about getting started with their online courses.
6. Maintain communication and support via eLearning email and LMS chat.
7. Maintain eLearning support knowledge base in LMS.
8. Maintain Student Resources Course in LMS.
9. Create, update, and maintain student resource materials.
10. Register, drop, and withdraw students in Banner and the MSVCC enrollment tool.
11. Reconcile Banner and MSVCC databases on a weekly basis and before the start of each term.
12. Work closely with eLearning representatives from MSVCC institutions to manage student enrollments.
13. Answer phone calls for the Director of eLearning and the eLearning Coordinator as needed.
14. Be flexible in working after hours or weekends as needed.
15. Upgrade skill level and performance through employee development.
16. Be familiar with and abide by MGCCC Policies and Procedures.
17. Be familiar with MGCCC Faculty Handbook, online excerpt.
18. Be familiar with the MGCCC Student Handbook, online excerpt.
19. Be familiar with and abide by MSVCC Policies and Procedures.
20. Be familiar with the College Catalog.
21. Be familiar with and abide by FERPA (privacy) regulations.
22. Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of eLearning.

Mandatory Qualifications
MANDATORY :
(M1) Minimum of an Associate Degree from an accredited institution.
(M2) Commitment to high quality customer/student service.
(M3) Experience as an online student.
(M4) Excellent organizational and communication skills.
(M5) Experience providing technical support.

Desirable Qualifications
DESIRABLE :
(D1) Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution.
(D2) Experience using SCT Banner administrative software or other large database programs.
(D3) Experience with an appropriate learning management system.
(D4)Demonstrated problem solving skills.
