Job Description:
Broadcom Network & Information Security Division has an immediate opening for a talented cloud native software development engineer to join the Cloud SWG Elastic Analytics and Reporting development team. We are looking for someone to help build and run scalable applications in a cloud native environment (Google Cloud Platform). An ideal candidate will have experience managing data infrastructures and tools including collecting, storing, processing and analyzing raw data at scale. Requires a bachelor’s degree and at least 8 years of experience in the field or related area. Ideal candidates will be proficient with cloud native technologies and ideally have Big Data experience.

Contribute to sustaining activities as needed. This requires strong problem analysis, resolution design and implementation skills along with excellent collaboration and communication skills with peers and other development teams, support and QA.

Participate in the design and implementation of the next generation of the WSS Elastic Analytics and Reporting solution.

Contribute to and analyze the current architecture to identify weaknesses and develop opportunities for improvement.

Create and help manage the infrastructure and tools supporting the solution.

Work closely with your peers on all aspects of the development life cycle including solutions design, functional specifications and test planning needs and activities.

The ideal candidate must enjoy learning and working with new cloud technologies as solutions expand to new markets.
Required Skills:

Strong development experience with Java/Spring

Working knowledge of Linux/Unix

Exceptional troubleshooting and communication skills
Desired Skills:

Experience designing, building and packaging cloud native applications

Experience with the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is preferred

Experience using cloud technologies: Kubernetes, RabbitMQ, Kafka, Presto, Redis

Development ecosystem experience with Git, Jenkins and CI/CD

Data analytic, Big Data skills

Bachelor or Master’s in Computer Science or Engineering

Additional Job Description:
Compensation and Benefits
The annual base salary range for this position is $111,000 - $185,000.
This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in accordance with relevant plan documents, and equity in accordance with equity plan documents and equity award agreements.
