We’re currently seeking an eCommerce Copywriter III who will be responsible for writing and proofing copy for the Bradford Exchange e-commerce and content Web sites. This individual will participate in project and business meetings and be expected to contribute to creative solutions. This role will also be expected to stay current on industry standards, techniques and marketing results to achieve organization's goals.


How you will contribute:
  • Writes and proofs copy.
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish project and business goals.
  • Projects include site content creation (product descriptions, on-site product promotions, seasonal promo campaigns) and NCA/House File promotional copy creation (e-mails, banners, newsletters, display ads).
  • Assignments also include independent business projects, i.e., new site creation and large scaled site improvement projects, which requires business experience and judgment.
  • May direct or lead other staff or freelance writers based on size of projects.
  • Expected to contribute to creative testing and provide creative solutions for copy challenges.
What you will bring and skills that excite us:
  • Bachelor's degree in English, advertising, journalism or communication.
  • 7+ years of copy writing experience in e-commerce, advertising or direct marketing for consumer products (giftware, collectibles, home décor preferred).
  • Experienced in writing compelling copy for B to C that produces proven positive results, speaks directly to the audience and inspires immediate purchase.
  • Able to create copy for both e-commerce and service based projects without supervision.
  • Able to work on projects independently with counterparts (designers, marketers, IT staff, etc.).
  • Able to direct or lead other support writers in larger scaled projects.
  • Familiar with advertising, e-commerce and Internet common practices and procedures.
  • Has knowledge of Web usability; can understand and utilize Web testing results.
  • Has knowledge of and able to implement e-commerce best practices.
  • Proficient in MAC, PC and MSWord; familiar with different Web browsers.
  • Deadline oriented; multitasks well.
  • Strong organizational, verbal & written communication and problem solving skills and daptability to fast-changing business and technical environment.
  • E-commerce, Advertising, direct marketing or consumer catalog experience is preferred.
  • Experienced in Search Engine Optimization and multi-channel marketing is preferred.
