Early Childhood Teaching Assistant Job at St. Mark's Episcopal School
St. Mark’s Episcopal School in Houston, Texas is seeking creative, organized, team players to serve as Early Childhood Teaching Assistants.
The primary job of an early childhood teaching assistant at St. Mark’s is to work with the lead teacher to guide young students as they work and play in our centers-based classrooms, while playing outdoors, and during snack and lunch times. Other responsibilities may include: completing tasks assigned by the lead teacher to maintain the classroom environment and prepare student materials; attending faculty meetings and professional growth opportunities before the school year begins and after school during the school year; and other requests made by the Head of Primary School, the lead teacher, or the Headmaster. As a member of the Primary School faculty, the assistant is expected to support the mission and philosophy of the school. Experience guiding children between the ages of two and six in a school setting along with a CDA or an education degree is preferred. Position hours are from 7:30 AM - 3:45 PM.
