TITLE:
Teacher – Early Childhood Special Education
QUALIFICATIONS:
A Professional Teaching License with a teaching endorsement in Early Childhood Special Education.
REPORTS TO:
Principal or designated administrator
JOB GOAL:
Assume responsibility for the instructional program for students with disabilities
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform tasks assigned to all teachers
Provide instruction to students with disabilities
Serve as a contributing member of school transdisciplinary teams
Adapt and modify curricula and instruction as required by individual students’ educational plans
Conduct individual assessments
Serve as a learning consultant to school colleagues
Serve as s member of the Child Study, Eligibility, and IEP Committees
Other duties as assigned by the principal or Board
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
200 days per year. Additional duties may be contracted for specific job assignments. Salary according to School Board Pay Plan.
EVALUATION:
Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on Evaluation of Personnel
