We are hiring an Early Career Recruiter position to join our Trade & Renewables business group. This position will report to the HR Manager and be based in the Overland Park, KS or Maumee, OH office. This is an in-office position that will require travel.
Position Overview
This position is accountable for all recruiting aspects (sourcing, screening, qualifying, interviewing, and evaluation) of key early career positions, including trainee and intern positions in the Trade & Renewables business group. This position will lead key activities in our early careers programs to create and maintain a premier experience for all individuals.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute and refine university recruiting strategies for Trade & Renewables business group to ensure The Andersons is competitive in attracting and retaining great talent, providing a great experience, and supporting diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging throughout
- Plan, attend, and support campus and high school recruitment events and other activities, as appropriate
- Manage the recruiting process for assigned trainee and intern positions and perform all functions relative to sourcing, screening, interviewing, and evaluating applicants
- Build and maintain network of potential and passive candidates through pro-active market research and on-going relationship management.
- Coordinate learning and development for the trainee and intern programs, including executing annual Merch 101 course, training plans, and performance reviews
- Assist with the summer internship program; including manager and intern orientations, development and engagement activities, performance management and post-graduate offer conversion offers
What is expected of you in this role:
- Travel (up to 75%) during peak college recruiting months (August – November) and (January – March)
- Strong organizational skills, work ethic, initiative, sense of urgency and attention to detail.
- Desire to be in a service-oriented environment with enthusiasm and high level of interest in Recruiting and Program Management.
- Must be flexible, work in a team environment and foster positive working relationships
Minimum Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree required (or significant experience in lieu of degree)
- 2-5 years’ relevant experience required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Campus recruiting experience preferred
- Project management experience preferred
- Workday experience preferred
