Dura-Line is currently searching for an experienced Material Planner to join our Ohio team and operate out of our Elyria, OH manufacturing plant. You will plan, schedule, coordinate and/or monitor the inventory of materials (accessories) at our OH site with a high level of expertise problem-solving, interpersonal skills, and a go-getter personality.
To help you succeed, you need to bring your proven hands-on logistics skills and knowledge in the manufacturing industry, or a degree in logistics or supply chain management or equivalent relevant work experience, and a proactive boots-on-the-ground mindset. You need to be experienced in Microsoft products (strong Excel experience) and ERP systems (SAP), data management & integrity, preparation and reporting of operational KPIs, and overseeing inventory supply levels for continuous production. In this exciting role, we need a proactive leader to ensure cycle counts are complete and accurate inventory level.

In this strategic forward-thinking role, you will need at least 3+ years of experience working in production scheduling, production planning, procurement, forecasting, supply chain management, or capacity planning in manufacturing, logistics, operations field/industry. Along with a minimum of 3+ years of firsthand experience management, overseeing, and planning materials and multiple projects. You must be able to analyze & maintain appropriate materials (accessories) to meet the expectations of all objectives. You will also need to be able to scale the business and easily influence others to help grow.
In addition, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring Effective & Open Communication by maintaining an open-door policy and cultivating an engaged and efficient team. You will work with cross-functional departments & different plants across our multiple plants & participate in daily meetings with the operational team at the TX site.
- Inventory Control & Management will be the foundation of your position. You will monitor the daily materials in the inventory & purchasing department and complete the necessary weekly and monthly operation reporting.
- Drive Continuous Improvement with your strong analytical and problem-solving skills within a Six Sigma Lean Manufacturing environment and can execute lean initiatives. Safety is always our number 1 priority and we are a collaborative team, so we need a quality candidate that can foster & balance quality, safety, morale, productivity, and cost to achieve positive results in all areas.
- Teamwork Makes the Dream Work! You will be working daily with a skilled team within the plant as well as with a corporate team. You will be working with the operations team for delivery tracking, logistical issues, maintaining an effective and accurate records management system, and investigating root cause analysis.
