We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Pharmacy Director at Rainier School Habilitation Center (RHC) within the Department of Social and Health Services. Rainier School is a unique environment that offers a chance to work closely with other disciplines to provide a team approach to patient care.
In this integral leadership role, you'll oversee a team of three clinical pharmacists and four pharmacy technicians, all of whom are committed to providing quality medical care to the clients of Rainier School. You'll be accountable for completing annual employee evaluations, performance and development plans, daily work performance feedback, and corrective action if needed. In addition, you'll collaboratively work with the facility executive team and consult with other DDA teams.

Some of what you'll do:
- Plan for long-range improvement in pharmacy services and in medication use, delivery, and documentation.
- Accountable for facility-wide pharmacy decisions
- Review medical literature and develop policies and procedures regarding medications used at RS, and includes prescribing, dispensing, administration, and monitoring.
- Assure compliance with all Washington State RCWs/WACs governing the practice of pharmacy, Long-Term Care Pharmacy Standards of Practice, Federal pharmacy laws and regulations, and CMS standards.
- Investigate and develop a plan of correction for all incident reports pertaining to the pharmacy. Assist administration in developing other investigations and/or corrections as requested.

We are looking for a natural leader who can bring their drive and passion to serve, managing the pharmacy department and its many-faceted areas with strong clinical skills, problem-solving and analytical skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proven experience assisting, leading, and collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams, making recommendations to staff and management and building bridges to the other disciplines as well.
Who should apply?

A valid Washington State license to practice pharmacy or eligibility to obtain licensure prior to employment within 90 days following appointment
AND
Graduation from an accredited college of pharmacy with a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree or Master of Science (M.S.) degree with a clinical emphasis
OR
Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy with a clinical emphasis, a completed Residency Program in Clinical Pharmacy, and two years of clinical consultative pharmacy experience.
OR
Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy and the equivalent of five years of clinical pharmacy consultative experience.
