Provide support for the Horizon 2020 Precision Toxicology consortium project sponsored by the European Union.

JOB DUTIES:


70% - Essential - Perform behavioral phenotypic analysis on Drosophila inbred lines under standard culture conditions and after exposure to toxicants. Accurately record data.

30% - Essential - Assist staff scientists, postdoctoral researchers and graduate students as time allows. This will entail maintaining Drosophila stocks, collecting samples for next generation sequencing, and performing phenotypic assays.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:


Education - High School or Equivalent

Experience in a clinical or research setting.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:


Education - Bachelor's Degree - Genetics and/or Molecular Biology

Prior experience with Drosophila

RESPONSIBILITIES

No Supervisory Duties - Not responsible for supervising employees.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

5% - Chemical hazards

Environmental toxicants that will be handled safely and are not harmful to the operator at the concentrations used.

WORK SCHEDULE:


Standard Hrs: 37.5

Expected Salary Range: $ 32,000.00 - $ 42,000.00

ESSENTIAL PERSONNEL LEVEL


Normal Operations

Required to follow emergency facility closure directives, and not normally expected work on-site during emergency situations.
