Key Responsibilities:
Tropicana Brands Group is looking for a highly qualified Transport Driver to support the LD&T Associate Supervisor to ensure the company’s goals and initiatives are met. The Driver-Transport will be responsible for making pick-ups and deliveries of predominantly finished products or materials/supplies as well as obtaining proper authorization for all deliveries/pick-ups. Tropicana is looking for a critical thinker with exceptional communication, influencing and relationship management skills who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
We are seeking a candidate based in Jersey City, NJ.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Deliver finished products or raw materials to the assigned destination.
- Obtains proper authorization for all deliveries/pick-ups.
- Operate electric pallet jack.
- Inspects vehicle for proper and safe operating conditions before and after each trip.
- Must maintain a DOT driver's log and adhere to all DOT regulations.
- Also requires lifting cases weighing 20-45 pounds if they fall in the trailer.
- May require driving in adverse weather conditions.
- Tackle ambiguous problems to determine and prioritize business strategies
- Ability to structure and prioritize tasks, and focus efforts in an ambiguous work environment
- Demonstrated ability to implement short and long-term strategies to support organizational operation and transformation
Professional Experience / Qualifications:
- 21 years or older
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3 years of driving experience(1-2 years)
- Pass the required background check
- Pass DOT physical and DOT Road Test
- Valid Class A CDL license
- Follow DOT Regulations
- Abstract required
Job Type: Full-time
