Turner Industries Group is looking for a Draftsman for full-time maintenance work near Anniston, AL.
- Must be able to pass background check and drug screen
- Monday- Friday
- AutoCAD experience REQUIRED
- No per diem or relocation. Ideal candidate will be located within 60-miles of Anniston, AL.
General Job Description:
Drafts detailed construction drawings, topographical profiles and related maps and specification
sheets used in planning and construction.
Functional Requirements:
Plots maps and charts showing profiles and cross-sections, indicating relation of topographical
contours and elevations to buildings, retaining walls, tunnels, overhead power lines, and other
structure; drafts detailed drawings of structures employing structural reinforcing steel, concrete,
masonry, wood and other structural material; produces plans and details of foundations, building
frame, floor and roof framing and other structural elements; may accompany survey crew in field to
locate grading markers or to collect data required for revision of construction drawings; performs
additional assignments as required.
Qualification Standards:
- Minimum two (2) years of drafting experience or equivalent combinations of experience and training
- Must possess excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and problem solving skills
- Applicant/employee must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of such individual or others
- Hazard Communication orientation/test
- Turner Industries Group, LLC indoctrination
- OSHA approved corrective eyewear (Z87)
- Job site orientation
- Safety equipment as required by the client (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, respirator, hearing
- Applicant/employee must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of such individual or others
Physical/Mental Involvement:
Employee may be required to do the following: reaching in all directions, handling and manipulating
objects and materials; standing; sitting; walking; seeing with or without correction; hearing with or
without correction; following set procedures and standards; applying basic mathematical skills;
planning work; comparing and understanding differences in the size, shape and form of lines, figures
and objects; picturing and evaluating solid objects from drawings or diagrams using standards that
can be measured or checked; following oral and/or written directions, and plans; reading; writing;
ability to recognize and report safety hazards.

- Location: industrial construction site and/or office environment
- Mobility Barriers to Access Job Site: uneven ground level; obstructed pathways
- Climatic/Environmental Conditions at Job Site: predominately indoor climate; various noise levels
