LDF Sales & Distributing, Inc. is looking for a Dynamic Employee to join the LDF Family for the Day Shift Draft Department. The Draft Technician will work under regular supervision designing, installing and maintaining draft systems for On-Premise accounts and troubleshooting when necessary. This position directly supports the On-Premise Sales Team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Meets daily with On-Premise Sales Manager or Draft Manager to discuss any specific problems and opportunities and review daily plant pick up point.

2. Performs thorough line cleaning activities at all assigned accounts.

3. Resolves draft equipment problems as needed to maintain and improve customer service.

4. Designs, builds and installs draft systems when needed.

5. Educates and trains customers’ staff on the use and maintenance of draft systems.

6. Rotates all products as required by company procedures while in each account.

7. Cleans and maintains draft system storage room and frequently checks CO2 bottles.

8. Maintains all draft service and equipment in good working order, repairs equipment as assigned and assures its safekeeping.

9. Follows FDAA vehicle maintenance guidelines to include cleaning equipment and vehicle as needed.

10. Operates company vehicle according to Fleet Safety Manual and report any vehicles accident immediately to Draft Manager and follow the vehicle accident reporting policy contain therein

11. Submits required reports in a timely manner, follows bookkeeping procedures regarding sales tickets, money and products used or sold.

12. Reports market trends, competitive activity and offers recommendations.

13. Performs all other duties as requested by Draft Manager.

Qualifications: Intermediate skills in the use and knowledge of hand tools. Understanding of electrical, heating and air, and carpentry. Possess a basic understanding and use of computers and related software to include IPads. In-depth knowledge of company product line, policies, procedures, and operations. Possess grooming and hygiene consistent with maintaining good customer relations.

Education/Experience: High school graduate or equivalent, completion of basic training program and specific on-the-job training on draft systems.

Language Ability: Articulate with business owners and managers in order to maintain good relations, explain and discuss problems and to offer solutions with regard to equipment and service.

Math Ability: Basic math and algebraic skills to deal with temperature/pressure equations and figure resistance.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to make basic independent decisions.

Certificates and Licenses: Valid drivers’ license.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Work Environment: Driving company vehicle and on customer premises Monday - Friday from 8:00 a.m. to approximately 5:00 p.m. Schedule is flexible depending on completion of duties. Hours may fluctuate based on customer demands.

Heavy work. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Specific vision abilities require by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus to read information on electronic devices and on paper as well as to make repairs/adjustments to draft equipment. Routinely sit, stand, walk, climb, kneel, bend, push/pull and lift/carry routinely 26-50 lbs. up to 160 lbs. Must be physically capable of pulling a keg off truck, moving it into customers’ establishments to be placed in cooler (possibly double stacking) or to put it in a keg box. Drive a motor vehicle. Exposure to weather elements when entering and leaving customer accounts and sudden temperature change when entering and exiting coolers.
