Eaton’s Fuel & Motion Control sector of our Aerospace Group is currently seeking a Division Commodity Specialist to join our team. This is a remote opportunity within the United States.

Position Overview:

The Division Commodity Specialist is an individual contributor who supports Eaton’s divisional supply chain organization driving commodity management lead and divisional supply chain lead initiatives with the suppliers, commodity managers – both in Aerospace and at Corporate, and with the plant materials teams. This position is responsible for aiding in the development of and implementing purchasing strategies to reduce the total cost of direct materials for the Fuel & Motion Control (FMC) division, while providing direct materials to support plant operations. The role will require individual to be familiar with a complete range of procurement functions. This includes the total cost analysis of materials purchased, the execution of commodity strategies, negotiations with suppliers, regulatory compliance, and the ongoing management of supplier relationships.

In addition, to the procurement activities and supplier management this position will be responsible for driving cost out projects and the development and implementation of advanced replenishment strategies. This is a multisite role responsible for the commodities and suppliers as assigned to the FMC Division.

In this function you will:

  • Develop and execute multi-site rationalization across the FMC Division of sourcing projects by preparing RFQ’s, summarizing responses, recommending sourcing decisions to commodity management, and submitting those to division gate reviews for approval.
  • Lead RFQ creation and execution strategically aligned with divisional and commodity goals and objectives.
  • Lead commercial negotiations with suppliers seeking mutual benefits and make awards > $10k in annualized spend.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams chartered with improving supplier performance and executing corrective actions and drive continuous improvement through the supply base.
  • Strong familiarity with ERP systems including but not limited to MfgPro as well as Microsoft office skills is needed
  • Implementation of continuous replenishment goals and objectives aligned with ERP health rules and site material requirements.
  • Hold suppliers accountable to performance penalties and recovery of cost associated with non-conformances as needed and required.
  • Lead and Support Site SCM & virtual IPT in the creation, monitoring, control of Transition programs/projects.
  • Maintain the Integrated Master Plan and Schedule following the established best in class processes in alignment with the Supply Chain procedures & training guides.
  • Develop and maintain the program Data Analysis and reports that will enable functional leadership to readily access the health of the projects and take corrective action as required.
  • Provide critical path analysis, schedule change impact statements and schedule recovery planning support to the Program and Project Managers. Provide data for End customer program reviews.
  • Forecast resource requirements and resolve resource conflicts.
  • Assist the project team members in the development of their specific task scheduling capabilities through mentoring and/or practice skill development.

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in manufacturing environment
  • Minimum of one (1) year of Project Management experience
  • Minimum of two (2) years of Supply Chain experience
  • This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e., 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in commodity and cost-out
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a procurement role
  • Aerospace industry experience
  • Minimum of one (1) year of materials planning experience

The annual salary range for this role is $101,360 - $139,370 a year.
