Responsibilities:

What you'll be doing:

  • Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and direction to plant terminal employees to ensure alignment with plant, logistics, marketing, and company goals.
  • Manage /supervise personnel staffing requirements, workloads and monitoring work, performance reviews, development.
  • Plan, organize, coordinate and implement all practices related to accurate and timely rail and truck loading, raw material unloading: schedule and coordinate the bagging operation and the loading of bag product.
  • Responsible for daily and weekly maintenance plans.
  • Attend daily operation and maintenance planning meetings.
  • Plan major maintenance projects and develop capital investment recommendations
  • Use company programs and systems to optimize overall equipment effectiveness at the lowest sustainable cost of maintenance
  • Develop area budgets as applicable, and accountable for results as defined by KPI’s
  • Support, demonstrate, and facilitate continuous learning and continuous improvement.
  • Manage time entry
  • Work shift when business demand requires
  • Some travel required
  • Other duties as assigned.

Relationships with other jobs:

  • Coordinate and interact with customers, drivers, sales, logistics, supply chain, dispatchers, terminal managers.
  • Coordinate communication with other plant teams and functions.
Qualifications:

We're looking for:

Education: Bachelor's degree preferred or 3-5 years of equivalent experience combined leadership and industrial experience.

Required Work Experience:
Cement industry experience preferred.

Required Computer and Software Skills:
Proficient computer skills, knowledge or windows, excel and word SAP preferred.

Travel Requirements:
5-10%

Additional Requirements:
  • Previous experience in bulk rail loading, bulk truck loading, packaging operations, shipping, logistics, preferred
  • Customer focused
  • Independent judgement and goal orientation required
  • Creative problem solver, ability to prioritize and effectively resolve multiple problems/demands on time
  • Ability to make decisions and execute them and show initiative and results
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to facilitate the collaboration of people and cross functional teams
  • Adaptability to changing needs
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.
  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Holcim approved Personal Protection Equipment & PPE, including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
