This position provides the day-to-day dispatching of the company's waste and recycling services as well as customer service.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Answer phone calls and provide exceptional customer service.
• Reschedule/schedule any missed pick-ups, extra pick-ups, bin deliveries, removals, swaps, and new routes.
• Works closely with other dispatch team members, to resolve any issues which could impact customers.

• Ensure maximum productivity and route management systems for commercial, roll-off, and residential routes.

• Input weights from dump tickets into ‘Route Daily Activity Entry’ in Encore, if not already completed by driver(s).
• Quote & schedule “one-shot” orders.
• Generate & close repair work orders for maintenance personnel as required.
• Develop a full working knowledge of company's route management software system.

SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY

• Ability to read, write, comprehend and speak English fluently.
• Ability to grasp, lift and/or carry, or otherwise, transport up to 35 lbs.
• Accuracy, Attention to Detail, Initiative/Follow Through, Listening & Understanding, Problem Solving, Product Knowledge, Technical Communication, and Team Participation.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Knowledge of the island of Oahu.
• Experience with routing efficiencies
• Experience using routing software.
• Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
• Basic computer skills with knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word and related business systems.
